Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Stack task management application and related services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create through the Service ("User Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display your User Content solely to operate and provide the Service, including displaying it to users with whom you choose to share it. This license ends when you delete your User Content or your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • upload or share content that is illegal, infringing, or abusive;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems; or
  • interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party services such as GitHub and Asana. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR OWN BACKUPS OF ANY IMPORTANT DATA.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions.
